Candid, Joyful Moments with a Beautiful Extended Family in Charleston, SC

As a family photographer in Charleston, SC, one of my favorite things is capturing the real, unfiltered moments that make each family unique. This extended family session on Isle of Palms was the perfect mix of connection, laughter, and playful energy.

We began the evening near their vacation home, surrounded by lush greenery and warm coastal light. These classic group portraits were filled with smiles—but it was the in-between moments that truly stood out. Grandparents hugging grandkids, siblings giggling, and cousins playing under the palm trees—all of it was beautifully unscripted and full of personality.

After our time under the trees, we headed to the beach just as the sun began to dip. Isle of Palms is a favorite for family photography in Charleston, SC because of its soft light, open shoreline, and relaxed pace. The beach gave us the perfect backdrop for barefoot strolls, windy hair, and joyful splashes in the surf.

Every session I photograph is guided by one goal: to reflect who your family truly is. I believe your photos should feel like you—natural, connected, and full of love.
