Maternity photographer Charleston SC – sunset session. There is something about photographing pregnancy that is just so exciting for me. Here are a few tips to make your maternity session experience wonderful:

1. THE BEST TIME FOR A SESSION

I typically recommend to do maternity session between 29 and 36 weeks. That is the time when belly is nice and round and when mom to be is still comfortable during her session posing, walking, and sitting. After week 36 that can be difficult for some moms.

2. FIND THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER

Pregnancy is such a delicate state. I do recommend to choose maternity photographer that makes you comfortable during your photo session. Maternity photographer that you trust. So you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy while being photographed. The outcome is so much worse it.

3. STYLE YOUR SESSION

I discuss session style ideas with my maternity clients in advance. Certainly, outfit choice is one of the most important aspect. Outfit can make or break a session. Typically, I suggest to go with neutrals and pastels, and avoid bright and saturated colors. Pumper yourself for a session. Get your hair done, make up. Get your nails done, this is the important one! Close up of mom to be arms hugging belly is a must to take shot for every maternity session. Location choice is, also, important for maternity session. Being maternity photographer in Charleston SC makes this part easy. Charleston is such a beautiful place. 

4. ENJOY YOUR SESSION

Last one but not the least. Being able to relax, feel and enjoy that life inside you, definitely will make your experience great! So, it’s important to connect with your photographer( tip number 2).
